1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PawUnity (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service. Your continued use of PawUnity constitutes acceptance of any updates to these Terms.

2. Service Description

PawUnity provides a smart pet identification and recovery platform that uses QR codes and NFC tags to connect pet finders with pet owners. The Service is an assistive tool only — it facilitates communication between finders and owners but does not guarantee pet recovery under any circumstances.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account
• One account per person — sharing accounts is prohibited
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. User Responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all pet and contact information you provide
• You must not use the platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
• You must not attempt to expose, access, or harvest other users' private data
• You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
• You must not impersonate another person or entity

5. Finder Interactions

When a finder scans a pet tag, they may submit a contact message or request communication. PawUnity facilitates this communication without exposing the pet owner's phone number or email directly. PawUnity is not liable for the content of finder messages or any outcomes resulting from finder-owner interactions.

6. Premium Subscriptions

• Premium features require a paid monthly or annual subscription
• Billing is processed through Stripe; you authorize recurring charges
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, PawUnity and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

• Failed, delayed, or incomplete pet recovery
• Misuse of the platform by third parties (finders or others)
• Inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information provided by users
• Service interruptions, data loss, or technical failures
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

PawUnity's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 3 months.

8. Pet Owner Liability

You, as a pet owner, are responsible for your pet's actions and any damages or injuries caused by your pet. PawUnity does not assume any liability for the pets registered on our platform.

9. Intellectual Property

All PawUnity trademarks, logos, platform design, software, and content are the exclusive property of PawUnity. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of pet photos and data you upload. By uploading, you grant PawUnity a non-exclusive license to display this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
